Pianura Padana: maglia nera d’Europa

Secondo l’ultimo rapporto dell’Agenzia europea dell’ambiente sulla qualità dell’aria, la Pianura Padana, nonostante qualche tendenza al miglioramento è la maglia nera d’Italia e Europa.



Si stima infatti che, a causa dello sforamento delle soglie fissate dall’Oms per la quantità di inquinanti nell’aria, in Lombardia ogni anno muoiono 300 persone, l’80% delle quali (circa 230) nella sola Milano.



La causa? Il traffico: l’Agenzia Mobilità Ambiente Territorio (AMAT) ha stimato che oltre il 70% delle emissioni allo scarico è attribuibile ad auto e camion diesel euro 3 e 4 e a motorini a due tempi.
