Solo l'uomo e l'animale insieme possono salvare l'ambiente.

L'inquinamento derivante dagli allevamenti intensivi, infatti, è tra i più impattanti sul clima.

Come afferma Caroline McCann, consigliera di Slow Food e responsabile del progetto New Harmony Farm in Sud Africa:
"Bisogna ottenere una carne che non sia solo buona per chi la mangia ma anche per l'ambiente"

Per produrre un chilo di carne di manzo industriale si immettono nell'atmosfera 36,4 chili di anidride carbonica e si consumano circa 15.500 litri d'acqua e 7 chili di alimenti vegetali.
