Lo sciacallo ha attraversato il Po

Per quanto questo canide ci faccia pensare subito a posti esotici, non si tratta del solito animale scappato dalla gabbia di un collezionista: la presenza dello sciacallo in Italia è nota sin dalla metà degli anni '80 del secolo scorso, quando alcuni esemplari varcarono il confine sloveno verso il Friuli Venezia Giulia. Quello che però ha sorpreso anche gli esperti della specie è che in così breve tempo abbia già attraversato il Po, presumibilmente a nuoto o usando un ponte, e stia ora incominciando la colonizzazione dell'Italia peninsulare.
