Earth Overshoot Day

Il giorno del sovrasfruttamento della Terra Earth Overshoot Day, che nel 2017 è caduto l’8 agosto, evidenzia la data in cui la domanda di risorse naturali da parte dell’umanità supera le risorse che la Terra può rigenerare in un anno.



Poiché la popolazione mondiale è cresciuta e il consumo è aumentato – soprattutto per quanto riguarda le emissioni di carbonio – la data dell’Earth Overshoot Day nel tempo si è spostata da fine settembre del 2000 all’8 agosto di quest’anno.
