L’Eco della tolleranza

Cosa succederebbe se “uno con otto tentacoli” si sedesse a tavola con noi? Possiamo essere tolleranti con i cannibali? Sembrano paradossi, ma è proprio in questi termini che Umberto Eco affronta il tema della tolleranza.
Secondo il grande filosofo l’intolleranza si fonda sulla cattiva educazione e deriva dall’incapacità di regolare la nostra biologica reazione al diverso. Dunque, non si nasce tolleranti, ma si diventa tolleranti, attraverso l’educazione.
