L’UE, gli Stati nazionali e la salute

Nell’Unione Europea la salute è un valore in sé ed è considerata un prerequisito per la crescita economica.



Per questo l’articolo 168 del Trattato sul funzionamento dell’Unione Europea (TFUE) prevede che, nella definizione e nell’attuazione di tutte le politiche e attività dell’Unione, sia garantito un livello elevato di protezione della salute umana.



Ma in concreto, l’Unione Europea che cosa può fare in campo sanitario e, in particolare, come può concorrere al miglioramento della sanità pubblica?
