L'esposoma è l’insieme di tutte le sostanze a cui siamo esposti tramite l’ambiente esterno.

Ogni giorno siamo circondati dai più disparati organismi viventi (funghi, pollini, batteri, virus) e non viventi, (inquinanti, composti emessi dalle piante, sostanze chimiche)

L’esposoma è stato misurato da un gruppo di scienziati della Stanford University School of Medicine, che ne illustra anche le differenze fra singoli individui. I risultati sono stati pubblicati sulla rivista Cell.
